The Bread beer is an iteration of a German-style wheat beer. This Hefe Weizen is made with the inclusion of leftover bread from Beechworth’s iconic bakery.
According to Beechworth Bakery, the Bread Beer produced by neighbours, Bridge Road Brewers is recycling, or food rescue, at its best.
This beer is typically light in flavour profile and we felt, the best style to showcase the subtle flavour of bread in the final product.
Bridge Road Brewers can trace its inspiration for this beer back to Europe, through its founder, Ben Kraus, who cut his teeth brewing in Innsbruck, Austria.
This non-bitter beer style exhibits banana aromatics and clove like flavours, owing to a yeast sourced from Germany’s oldest brewery.
