It's a Beechworth Thing...
The Chevalier range was originally created to put Beechworth beer on the map as a serious drink that can be just as worthy of a place on a restaurant table as a classy bottle of wine or bubbles. The Chevalier name was taken from the breweries original site next to the stone bridge in Beechworth. This site was the former site of Chevaliers mill, a saw mill powered by the water waterfall under the bridge, established by frenchman Jacques Chevalier. Not surprisingly two beers from this range also have french origins. These beers present complex flavours and represent styles that are not commonly found outside of Europe. Packed in 750ml champagne bottles, Chevalier are great beers to share and celebrate.
