Great beer is the core to a successful brewery, with marketing, merchandising and distribution aside, good booze is the key. Bridge Road Brewers produce some of the best beer in the country and are one of the Australia's benchmark producers. We constantly tweak our beers and develop new recipes to satisfy the curiosity of ourselves and our customers alike. We are not prepared to just pump out a couple of run of the mill ales or have our beer brewed under license by someone else. We prefer to create beer from scratch, using our own production equipment on our own site in our home town of Beechworth, its our passion, not a hobby or a chance to make a quick buck.
Small batch hands on brewing, producing less than 100 cases per brew means that each bottle of this beer gets the attention it deserves. Others go to great lengths to put up a facade of a small hands on facility, when in reality their beer is being mass produced by a central brewery, who is responsible for many 'brewery' brands. At Bridge Road Brewers when it comes to traditional brewing techniques we tick all the boxes. Our beers are brewed naturally, without filtration, pasteurization, or preservatives.
To celebrate our 500th batch of beer we decided to have some fun and throw together a bit of a dogs breakfast, a smokey breakfast lager. Breakfast is a big part of our day at the brewery, enjoyed between ‘mash in’ and ‘the boil’. We have included many of our favourite breakfast foods in this beer; aside from smoked malt from Germany, we also added Carmen’s muesli, fruit toast, Zoi coffee, tea leaves, Beechworth Honey and maple syrup.
